Whitish Spots on Your Baby’s Face? Don’t Worry!!!
Whitish Spots on Your Baby’s Face? Don’t Worry!!!
Are you noticing tiny white spots on your baby’s face, especially around the nose, cheeks, mouth, trunk, or genital area. These are most likely Milia — harmless skin manifestations commonly seen in newborns.
Milia occur due to temporary retention of the sebum and appear as small, whitish bumps usually less than 3 mm in size. They are completely benign and typically resolve on their own within a few weeks to months.
What Can You Do?
To support gentle healing:
-
Opt for Mridu Abhyanga (mild oil massage) using baby-safe oils like Ashwagandha Bala Lakshadi Taila.
-
Follow it with a warm water bath to keep the skin clean and pores open.
While Milia are common in newborns, similar-looking spots in older children may sometimes be linked to other causes such as certain medications, mild trauma, or underlying systemic conditions. If you're uncertain, it's always best to consult a pediatric expert.
